  3. Surfing the Rift is an excellent primer for any executive, manager, or business owner that is looking to use today’s Web tools to grow their business. Frankly, for anyone, because all businesses should be using Web 2.0 to help grow their businesses. The book offers relevant, timely examples and action items to help your company get started and also clarifies the different options – from blogging to twitter to avatars – and helps you understand when to use each. The glossary at the end of the book is an easy reference and the questions at the end of each chapter are helpful in building strategy and execution against Web objectives. The book is a quick and easy read – can be read in a sitting – and the insights are invaluable. Highly recommended reading.

This timely book distills the “IT lingo” into a highly readable book. It is true what they say; recession produces some of the best business ideas.

The action items and ten questions at the end of each chapter are great tools that will result in concrete implementation steps. This is a book for executives and middle managers in mid-size companies who do not have a huge IT Strategy group but still have to deal with the challenges of growing their businesses in this global environment.
